I feel alchemy can be all three. I feel by having flexibility in how we view alchemy, more possibilities and creativity can be produced and more discoveries can be made.
After reading “Modern Alchemy and the Quest for ‘Cheapium’”, I just hope that the need to experiment and use cheaper materials do not cause there to be creations that can be more harmful than helpful. I hope that measures are made in which toxic exhaust is not the result of people trying to find shortcuts. Although it feels like science does not have a limit, we must be aware of what we do to affect others in hopes to preserve our world.
